Dozen’s of Reason Why MoreA2

  • 12 Reasons to buy the Golden Goodness of MoreA2 Ghee

  • Ghee is a golden elixir, one of the best media for cooking that has therapeutic use in Ayurveda and is also used in many Vedic rituals, ayurvedic formulations and ceremonies because it is considered close to Divinity. According to Charaka Samhita, the properties of Ghrita are :

  • “Ghrita promotes memory, intelligence, Agni, semen, ojas, kappa and medas; alleviates vata, pitta, poison, psychiatric ailments,  inauspiciousness (how certain imbalances were described), and fever. It is the best of all fats, is cold, has a madhura rasa (sweet taste), madhura vipaka (sweet post digestive effect), has thousand potentialities and so, if used properly according to prescribed methods, exerts thousand types of action”.

  • 1. Natural A2 Ghee from Certified A2 Gir Cow’s Milk – We have A2 Beta Casein (A2 Milk) from Desi Gir cows with their characteristic hump that captures the goodness of the sun’s rays; and we produce Ghee from this milk by the traditional Bilona method. What is the edge here?

  •  In Vedic times, it was A2 cows or Desi cows whose milk was used to produce Ghee and recommended for cooking and its myriad

  • therapeutic benefits.

  • According to studies, most of the milk nowadays has A1 Beta Casein; a protein which releases BCM-7 upon digestion. This is a compound that is not easily absorbed by the body which could explain directly the higher incidence of dairy intolerance. Ongoing Research regarding its impact on health is mixed, sometimes not conclusive but definitely indicates that it causes adverse digestive symptoms in some individuals. In Ayurveda, we believe that impaired digestion and metabolism is key in most disease processes. A few research groups suggest 0that BCM-7 may be linked to type-1-diabetes, heart disease, infant death, autism, and digestive problems.

  • A2 milk is easier to digest, benefits and nourishes the system and the gut which makes it suitable for all age groups. A2 milk is closest to Mother’s milk. Butyric acid, a short-chain fatty acid helps mend intestinal walls and is present in high concentration in Desi A2 Ghee. When A1 milk is not digested well how can the benefits of dairy accrue to anyone? In Ayurvedic theory, we would say it generates Ama and inflammation. This is corroborated by a study in rabbits showing A1 Beta-Casein promoted fat buildup in injured blood vessels which was much lower when they consumed A2 Beta-Casein. Fat accumulation can potentially cause heart disease through clogged blood vessels.

  • A1 milk is considered particularly a risk for infants (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/19576256/)  where breastfeeding is recommended.

  • This also means A2 milk is suitable for people who have ailments and whose Agni (digestion and metabolism) may be impaired (barring certain contraindications in Ayurveda where ghee is not used like Jwara or fever and Kapha/Medas imbalances). Generally, Ghee is considered superior and regenerative for those that are convalescing or emaciated. However, that is not possible if it is linked to increases incidences of illnesses which means it is not therapeutic and in fact, can have an adverse impact on the health of those that are healthy, sick or recovering from an illness.

  • Ayurveda is a consciousness-based science and Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, founder of Art of Living explains why cows in India continue to give A2 milk, “Indian cows have always been treated as a part of the family. Our long-seated tradition of venerating them has led them to assume motherly qualities which have enabled them to continue giving milk which has A2 protein, a characteristic common to mother’s milk.”

  • 2. Traditional Goodness of Culturing   Do you know that a lot of the Ghee found in the market is clarified butter but not cultured; it is not made in the traditional way which means it is heavier and not therapeutic as intended by Ayurveda?. We produce our MoreA2 Ghee that is made in the authentic Ayurvedic style of pure, natural and using cultured milk.

  • 3. Bilona Method of Making Ghee We use the traditional process of hand churning in earthen pots or manual process of making Ghee rather than a mechanized process. This is the ancient method of churning with a wooden beater in earthen pots instead of a processor. You may have seen these at your homes; this is what gives real Desi Ghee its taste, aroma and nutrition and is the traditional way of making Desi Ghee. This is highly beneficial, light on the stomach and contains more DHA or Docosahexaenoic Acid. DHA in larger concentrations promotes assimilation and absorption by boosting Agni or the digestive and metabolic fire. It also lubricates the joints and enhances memory and cognitive skills over time

  • 4. Natural Ghee Ourghee is naturally organic. It is of exceptional quality, characterized by its medium sized semolina like granules, color and aroma

  • 5. Farm to ShelfWe are a farm to shelf company. We have our own Farms which helps ensure the highest care of our cows and the best, most loving, pure quality of milk and Ghee

  • 6. Vedic sustainable farming, ethical, sacred and cruelty free techniquesAt our farms, cows are nurtured, grass fed in their natural habitats, well exercised and content. All our techniques revere cows and consider them sacred. The calves drink the milk first and once they are satiated, cows are milked. There is no need even to say we are cruelty (Ahimsa) free, but we assert that with pride. We use natural, sustainable energy sources and regenerative farming, enabling soil care and abundantly producing seasonal foods

  • 7. The Sattvic Intention of a Parent or VaidyaOur A2 Ghee gives you the goodness that a parent or a Vaidya would. A2 milk is closer to breastmilk or a mother’s love.
